Overview
Onake Abbe Falls is a lesser-known but incredibly scenic waterfall nestled within the rainforests near Agumbe. To reach it, visitors undertake a moderately strenuous trek through Narasimha Parvatha, often guided due to forest restrictions. The falls drop from a height of around 500 feet and are named after the “onake” (pestle) for their slender, powerful appearance.
Secluded and surrounded by lush greenery, the site is ideal for adventurous travelers and photographers. It’s recommended to go in a group and seek permission from the forest office before starting the trek.
