Splash and Serenity in Temple Town Surroundings
Located just a few minutes from the famous Belur temple complex, Yagachi Dam offers a surprising contrast to the region’s historical charm—a modern water sports centre set on a peaceful reservoir surrounded by green hills and quiet skies.
Water Adventures Available
The Yagachi Water Adventure Sports Centre offers a fun lineup of activities that are safe, accessible, and ideal for families, groups, and first-time adventurers. Visitors can enjoy jet skiing, banana boat rides, kayaking, speed boat cruises, and bumper rides. All activities are supervised with life jackets and safety protocols.
The still waters of the dam ensure a smooth and enjoyable ride, whether you’re powering across on a jet ski or relaxing in a coracle. The calm surface and scenic views also make it a great spot for beginner paddlers or children trying out water sports for the first time.
Where to Access the Activities
The water sports centre is located on the eastern side of Yagachi Reservoir, accessible from Belur town (about 3–4 km away). The centre is operated seasonally, typically from late October to June, depending on water levels and weather conditions.
Visitors can book activities on-site or through advance bookings arranged by nearby tourism service operators or homestays.
